MARISA CAPRARA
Graduated as Fashion Designer and Stylist and Interior Designer, I work in Rubiera (Reggio Emilia, Italy).
I have been employed in Ceramic industry companies for graphic and technical designing during 35 years with a great interest, determination and dedication, but never leaving out my little girl passion for fashion. For years I have been designing and sewing my own clothes, occasionally designing some of them for other people.
My usual job required me to be continuously updated about furniture and design trends, from which I took ideas also for the settings of my graphic projects. So my interest for furniture was born, exploded when I bought my house.
I completely changed the surveyor’s project and inserted materials and finishings different from the specifications.
After… my graduation as Interior Designer, completed with professional courses/updating workshops for hospitality sector, at the same time I started to paint again.
My distinction trait is an innate – I would even say “manical” – predisposition for chromatic combinations, my passion for my job and for anything that is creative.
I complete a project or follow an idea until late at night.
I am curious for everything, I long for learning, I attended educational courses for technical updating and personal growth, I self-taught many things and I still have so much to express and to learn; it is never enough, I can always improve.
I love travelling, I organize trips in order to plunge into different realities; they are a source of stimulations and of creative energy for my job.

Obviously, the cost will slightly increase for the room if You wish to receive 3D settings or realistic photo mock ups for the furniture included in the project. Please note that some demolitions may be foreseen in case the flat needs renovation or that some furniture may be tailored, if necessary or required.

I can draw furniture made of wood, glass, metal or alternative materials.
I can engineer pieces of furniture like tables, small tables, consoles, footstools, screens.
I can engineer some graphics as a decoration of one of Your lines in order to complete it.

During a meeting we will agree upon type of project, timing, delivery mode, including commercial agreements. After mutual agreement, I will start my job.

Would You like an original and customised piece of furniture or would You like to recover some old objects in order to give them new life?

In case of a tailored piece of furniture, after approval of my quotation and of my project, I will deliver the drawing with necessary measurements to the carpenter or glassworker or other craftsman based on the type of material used for manufacturing, agreeing upon delivery time.
In case of a restyling for a used piece of furniture, I will propose the most suitable renovation technique based on the specific case and some possible decoration graphics, if necessary.
Once the project and the quotation are approved, I will take care of the renovation personally.
If You love recovered materials, I can produce some customised pieces of furniture for You.
In case of renovation of some old objects like for instance a set of bottles or jars of different dimensions, I can reinvent some low cost decorated ornaments.

In case You are interested in an existing painting, I will inform you about its price, with cash on delivery. I would also like to specify that some diptychs can also be sold individually. Triptychs and quadtychs are small, an individual sale will be evaluated case by case.
In case You wish a customised painting, You can send a photo of the wall with the dimensions of the piece of furniture above which You’d like to hang the painting, so that I can understand style and colours of the furniture for a better interpretation of Your taste and so choose the most suitable subject, technique, colours and dimensions. Of course I will inform You about pricing and after receiving a partial advanced payment to be agreed together with the rest, I will procede with the execution of the painting with cash on delivery payment.
In case of a portrait, I need a photo of Yours plus one photo of the area in which You’d like to hang it, in order to understand Your taste and choose the most suitable painting technique.
Obviously, I will inform You about the price and after receiving a small advanced payment to be agreed together with the rest, I will procede with the execution of the painting with cash on delivery payment.
I can also produce exclusive digital works to customise a piece of furniture, a shutter, a wall, Your shop or office, considering that the drawing can be applied on various surfaces and in different sizes.
